MVM brining you Charklie Jeffreys’ Shove Ha’Penny

In association with AeroModeller magazine MvM is proud to be bringing you a range of short-kits.  These are from their  Centre-fold Free Plans Specials. This first model is Charlie Jeffreys’ Shove Ha’Penny as seen in AeroModeller December 2025 edition.

MvM’s Shove Ha’Penny kit contains both free flight and RC parts as a single kit. It also offers two configurations for engine bearers to accommodate both a Mills 0.75cc as well as a Mills 1.3cc.

The Shove Ha’Penny is a delightful model, which exudes character. This is a short-kit and contains all the laser cut parts required to complete the model .  But in MvM tradition we have gone above and beyond and done a little more.  As an example, the fin and rudder have been slightly tweaked , enabling those parts to essentially interlock, making the kit even easier to build.  This also therefore requires less strip-wood for you to purchase.  Likewise we also slightly tweaked the spats and spat fairings to make those even easier to assemble too.  In addition the boom has been carefully crafted to provide a single but highly effective join line.  This maximises the glue joint without compromising the ability to bend the balsa into the required tube shape.

MvM are really excited by this plane.   Hats-off to Charlie for making this stunning model available to one and all.

Specification:

Wingspan – 50” –  ~1270mm
Power 0.75-1.3cc Diesel or equivalent
Free Flight or Radio Controlled
